Spell Check Your Website

Check your website for spelling mistakes with these two great tools.

There are lots of spelling checkers for websites but the spell checker from a2solutions is raw, powerful and very, very useful. This spell checker even defaults to UK English and not US English.

For an alternative you can also try the spell checker from Ekstreme. Don't forget to change the default US English to British English! This website also attempts to correct 'Google' to 'Goggle'.

Neither site is 100% accurate so compare the two to each other for a thorough check.

Alternative method

I find brute force works quite well here. I usually simply cut and past a pages content into word or some similar text editor. This then underlines all the spelling errors which I then correct on the actual web page. Going through all your pages one by one shouldn't take that long. Good luck.

Get someone else to take a look

Proof reading your own content is very difficult unless there has been enough time elapsed so that you have forgotten the content. Getting someone else to proof read your site is a great way to spot those mistakes that have slipped past the spell checker. ie: Thank you four you're costume! (Thank you for your custom).
